The 0.8 litre of three cylinder engine under the bonnet is modified to churn out peak power of 45.7bhp at the rate of 6000rpm along with producing torque 69Nm at the rate of 3500rpm. The 796cc of engine is performing certainly way better on road as compared to Maruti 800. Even the CNG variant has been powered by the same engine, but is capable of performing nicely on road.
One of the key factors behind the success of the out going Alto was its power to weight equation which delivered massively in the rupee to kilometre operational cost.
